One of the most common questions I get from couples after their wedding day is, “How long does it take to get our photos back?” And I completely understand—after months (or even years!) of planning, your wedding day goes by in the blink of an eye. Once it’s over, you’re eager to relive those moments through your photos.
As a Tallahassee wedding photographer (serving North Florida, 30A, Destin, and beyond), I believe in delivering images that are not only beautiful but thoughtfully edited to tell your story with care and consistency. Let’s break down what you can expect after your wedding day.

1. The Sneak Peek: 1 Week After the Wedding
Within one week of your wedding day, I always send a sneak peek gallery! This includes a small collection of highlights—usually around 20–30 of my favorite images—that capture the emotion, joy, and beauty of your day.
This preview gives you something to share with family and friends while you wait for your full gallery and helps keep that post-wedding glow going a little longer.
2. The Editing Process: Why It Takes Time
Every image in your final gallery is carefully edited by hand—no batch filters or shortcuts. I adjust color tones, lighting, and composition to ensure every photo reflects the true warmth and joy of your day.
I photograph hundreds (sometimes thousands!) of images during a wedding, so editing each one thoughtfully takes time. My goal is always quality over speed, making sure your photos feel timeless, true-to-color, and filled with emotion.

3. The Final Gallery Delivery: an average of 3–5 Weeks After the Wedding
Your full wedding gallery is typically delivered within three to five weeks of your wedding date. During busy wedding seasons (like spring and fall here in North Florida), it may take closer to the five-week mark—but I’ll always communicate clearly about where your gallery stands. I know you are eager to receive your photos, so I try to work as quickly as possible to get you a full gallery.
Once your gallery is ready, you’ll receive a private online link where you can view, download, and share all of your high-resolution images. Many couples tell me this feels like reliving their entire day all over again—and that’s exactly how it should feel!

4. Album Design & Prints
If you’ve chosen to include a wedding album or print package, we’ll start that design process right after your gallery delivery. You’ll get to choose your favorite images, and I’ll create a layout that tells your story beautifully from beginning to end.
This process usually adds another 2–4 weeks, depending on revisions and print production timelines.

5. Why Quality Editing Matters
When you hire a professional wedding photographer, you’re not just paying for someone to take pictures—you’re investing in someone who can turn your memories into art.
As a Tallahassee and North Florida wedding photographer, I pride myself on consistency and storytelling. Every image you receive has been intentionally edited to look stunning in your home, on your walls, and in your heirloom album for years to come.
Final Thoughts
Your wedding photos are one of the few tangible things you’ll have forever from your wedding day—and they’re worth waiting for. The editing process ensures your gallery is everything you dreamed of: heartfelt, artistic, and uniquely yours.
Whether your celebration is on the coast of 30A, in the heart of Tallahassee, or tucked away at a North Florida countryside venue, my goal is always the same—to deliver timeless, emotion-filled images you’ll treasure for a lifetime.
